James J J Hooper

James came to the University of Bristol to study a MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Since 2005, he has worked in the Networking Team at the University. His primary focus is authenticated network access, particularly for mobile users. James enjoys the challenges inherent in designing, implementing and supporting easy to use connectivity for people with diverse ICT skill and confidence levels, whilst maximising security for all users and networks as they interact.

James likes travelling to far-away places, mahjong and badminton. In any spare time he is trying to learn Taiwanese and Mandarin Chinese.
